NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The free summer concert series at Alternatives' Whitin Mill continues Thursday with Dick Chase and the Millboys.
Chase started a music career with “Rye Straw”, a Bluegrass and contra dance band.
His focus now is Irish music with his group “The Millboys”, playing in Irish Pubs and restaurants in Central Massachusetts.
Chase has a large repertoire of Irish music and brings five instruments to performances - banjo, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and dobro.
Free concerts at Alternatives, 50 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, are held every Thursday this summer from 6 to 8 p.m. In addition, refreshments and a farmers market will be available.

- Aug. 16 – Chuck and Mud & Hole in the Dam Band
- Aug. 23 – Super Chief Trio
- Aug. 30 – Olde ‘Nuf to Know Better
- Sept. 6 – Help! Beatles Tribune Band
In bad weather, concerts will be moved inside to the Singh Theater.
