NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The free summer concert series at Alternatives' Whitin Mill continues today with the Chuck and Mud & Hole in the Dam Band.
Chuck & Mud played their first gig at the Paddock Lounge in February 1979 and have performed in hundreds of coffeehouses, park gazebos, children's concerts and schools.
The Hole in the Dam Band consists of Sten Gustavson on keyboards, Dave Nelson on drums, Walter Crockett on lead guitar and Mark Manuel on bass.
Free concerts at Alternatives, 50 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, are held every Thursday this summer from 6 to 8 p.m. In addition to music, refreshments and a small farmers market is available.

- Aug. 16 – Chuck and Mud & Hole in the Dam Band
- Aug. 23 – Super Chief Trio
- Aug. 30 – Olde ‘Nuf to Know Better
- Sept. 6 – Help! Beatles Tribune Band
In bad weather, concerts are moved inside to the Singh Theater.
The concerts are co-sponsored by Lampin Corp. and Unibank.
