NORWALK, Conn. - Doris Wright, of Norwalk, died March 18 at the age of 91.
She was born in the parish of Hanover, Jamaica, on Oct. 18, 1920, to Thomas and Edith Wright. In 1968, Wright immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica. She was known for her hard work and devotion to her faith.
The eldest of 10, Wright was predeceased by four brothers and a sister. She is survived by her sisters, Princess of Norwalk, Asverger of Bridgeport and Phyllis of New Jersey; her brother, Joseph of Montego Bay, Jamaica; her daughter, Lentine of Norwalk; a granddaughter, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Norwalk. Funeral arrangements are under Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk.
