Upfront Band To Play Mount Vernon Summer Concert Series

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon Department of Recreation’s Summer Breeze Concert series continues this week when the Upfront Band brings its R&B style to town.

The septet will play from 7-9 p.m. on July 11 at Mount Vernon City Hall Plaza, 1 Roosevelt Square, Mount Vernon, N.Y.

The show is part of the Summer Breeze Concert Series and runs through Sept. 1 on Tuesdays and Fridays. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs. Free transportation is available for seniors registered with the Doles Recreation Center or the Mount Vernon Armory Senior Center.

In the event of rain, the department of recreation will cancel the show with no make-up date.

Sponsoring the concert series is the City of Mount Vernon and Mayor Ernest D. Davis, as well as, Mount Vernon officials such as Commissioner Darren M. Morton, Ed. D.; Deputy Commissioner, Diane Atkins; and Project Manager Sheryll Brownlee-Fox.
