NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The week ahead in Northbridge includes an ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve service and the 24th annual Whitin Five Thanksgiving Road Race and Two Mile Health Walk to benefit Whitin Community Center. Check out our events page for more listings.

Monday, Nov. 19
School Committee Budget Subcommittee – 6 p.m. School Administration Building, Linwood Avenue.

Tuesday, Nov. 20
Free Flu Clinic – 4 to 6 p.m. Milford Senior Center, 60 North Bow St., Milford. Free  to any Massachusetts resident 6 months  and older. Call Salmon VNA and Hospice, 508-473-0862 for more information.

Wednesday, Nov. 21
Thanksgiving Eve service – 7 p.m. Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church, 25 Cross St., Whitinsville, hosts the ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve service on behalf of the Northbridge Association of Churches. Childcare will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a canned food item for the NAC food pantry.

Thursday, Nov. 22
Whitin Five Thanksgiving Road Race and Two Mile Health Walk – 8 a.m. Whitin Community Center, 60 Main St. The cost is $23 pre-entry, $25 day of, $3 less for students under age 23. The proceeds benefit the Whitin Community Center and the Mass. Audubon Society in Worcester. The course is certified 5 miles, computer chip timing. Cash and merchandise awards in many age divisions, raffles, long sleeved cotton tee shirts, hot showers, coffee and refreshments.

Saturday, Nov. 24
Electronic recycle day – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Village Congregational Church, 5 Church St., Whitinsville. Accepting all electronics and appliances. Low fees of $5 each computer, $10 any monitor or small TV less than 19", $15 each TV between 19" and 26" and $20 each TV over 26" wide and wood console TV's, projection TV's $25 each. Appliances are $10 each. Any cell phones, car, truck batteries and bikes are free.

Bicycle recycle collection - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Village Congregational Church, 5 Church St., Whitinsville Accepting any older/newer mountain, road, BMX adult and kids bikes to be reused. Many will be going to Ghana, Africa, where they are very much needed.

Board of Registrars of Voters – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Town Clerk’s Office, 7 Main St.,  Whitinsville, for the purpose of registering voters for the special town meeting to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4 and  to make any necessary corrections in the list of voters. All unregistered voters are urged to register at the special session or during regular business hours at the Town Clerk’s office.
