NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The weekend offers a variety of activities in Northbridge and for a change there’s no snow in sight.

Friday, March 1
Singh Performance Center
: 7 p.m. “The Subject Was Roses” will be performed at the Singh Performance Center, 60 Douglas Road at Alternatives’ presented by Pilgrim Soul Productions. Tickets are $15, $12 for groups of 10 or more. For information call 508-296-0797 or contact pilgrimsoulproductions@gmail.com

Saturday, March 2
Maple syrup demonstration
: 11 a.m. Learn how maple syrup is made at River Bend Farm, part of the Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park, 287 Oak St., Uxbridge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program is free and all ages are welcome. Tours include both indoor and outdoor elements. Call 508-278-7604 for more information.

Charity breakfast: 8 a.m. Knights of Columbus Hall, 77 Prescott St., Whitinsville. The breakfast is from 8 to 11 a.m. Donations to benefit the Down Syndrome Congress and Early Learning Center will be accepted. Home & Business Expo: 10 a.m. The 15th annual Home and Business Expo hosted by The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce and presented by UniBank and Gaudette Insurance will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at
Northbridge High School Field House, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.
