NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The week ahead in Northbridge is a mix of government and school events including a vendor party on Sunday hosted by Operation Graduation.

Monday, Feb. 18
Income tax assistance
: 9 a.m. to noon. AARP tax preparers will be at the senior center, 20 Highland St., from 9 a.m. to noon every Monday through April 1. The service is free. Call 508-234-2002 for more information.

Northbridge Elementary pre-school lottery: Enrollment in the lottery will be Feb. 1-28. To be placed in the lottery, stop at the main office of the school on Cross Street between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The program serves 3- and 4-year-old children.

Tuesday, Feb. 19
Coffee Break Bible Study:
9:30 a.m. Participants do not have to know anything about the Bible to participate. Programs and child care provided for pre-school children. Call 508-234-4902 or visit www.pscrc.org. Pleasant Street Church, 25 Cross St., Whitinsville.

Divorce recovery support group: 6:30 p.m. For men and women who are separated or divorced and living single again. A complementary program for children ages 5-12, called DivorceCare for Kids, happens concurrently with the adult program. Free and open to all at Pleasant Street Church, 25 Cross St., Whitinsville.

Wednesday, Feb. 20
Finance Committee meeting: 6 p.m. in Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville.

Knitting and Needlework: 6 p.m. New and experienced knitters are invited to join the group at Whitinsville Social Library, 17 Church St.

Story and Craft Time: 10 a.m. Whitinsville Social Library, 17 Church St. Toddlers ages 2 and older. The event is free.

Saturday, Feb. 23
Free math tutoring:
11 a.m. Free math tutoring for Middle School students at the Whitinsvlle Social Library.  The tutoring is provided as a community service by a retired math teacher with 40 years experience. Call the library at 508-234-2151 or ask at the front desk to register.

Historical Room at Whitinsville Social Library: 10 a.m. to noon. Most items may be photographed but not removed from the Historical Room.

Sunday, Feb. 24
Operation Graduation Vendor Party:
1 p.m. Uxbridge Progressive Club, 18 Whitin St., Uxbridge. Vendors will sell products and services, offer cleaning and decorating tips, and provide raffle gifts at the fund raiser for Operation Graduation from 1-4 p.m. Entrance is free. A wine and beer tasting hosted by Friendly Discount Liquors from 1-3:30 p.m. is $20.
