NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – Northbridge High School sporting events, soothing music by the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra and a magic show highlight weekend events in Northbridge.

Friday, Jan. 18

Chamber Music Series: Paul Surapine of the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra, 7:30 p.m. at Alternatives’ Singh Theater, 50 Douglas Road, Whitinsville. Tickets are $19 and may be purchased at www.claflinhill.org. For more information, call 508-478-5924.

Magic Show: 6 p.m. Sponsored by the Northbridge Parent-Teacher Association at Northbridge Middle School auditorium, 171 Linwood Ave. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person, flat fee of $20 for families of five or more. Children younger than 1 admitted free if they sit on an adult's lap. Snacks and drinks will be available. Bring your own camera to take pictures using PTA props and background.

Girls’ varsity basketball vs. Tantasqua Regional High School: 6 p.m. Northbridge High School, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.

Boys’ varsity basketball vs. Tantasqua Regional High School: 7:30 p.m. Northbridge High School, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Historical Room at Whitinsville Social Library: 10 a.m. to noon. Most items may be photographed but not removed from the Historical Room.
