NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - The fish were biting on the Mumford River Wednesday night for two fishermen who put their boat into the water off of Linwood Avenue near the Linwood Mill.
Between the two of them, they caught four large mouth bass, a slew of good-sized calico bass, and some of the largest pickerals they've seen in a while.
The fishing was good, and considering we're still in the month of March, it's better than good, said Alan Nashawaty of Millville.
It gets dark quick in March and the men were heading to shore when this photo was taken.
They had nothing to show for their efforts, however. They are catch and release fishermen, said Blackstone resident Gerry Fitzpatrick.
