NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – A very unscientific measurement of snowfall in this Blizzard of 2013 will be taken on the deck of a home and a photo showing snow depth will be posted periodically throughout Friday into Saturday.
Light snow began to fall in Northbridge around 10 a.m. Friday, and by 2 p.m. the depth was a little less than an inch.
The storm will intensify, and by midnight snow is expected to be falling at a rate of 2 to 4 inches per hour.
Total snowfall is expected to be as much as 30 inches in some areas.
For information on the storm visit the Massachusetts Emergency Management website.
