NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – It’s a busy week for politics in Northbridge with several boards and committees meeting and the Democratic Town Committee caucusing to elect delegates to the Democratic Convention.

Monday, Feb. 11
Solar Energy Committee
: 5:30 p.m. The Solar Energy Committee will meet in Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville.

Board of Selectmen: 7 p.m. The Board of Selectmen will meet in Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville.

Income tax assistance: 9 a.m. to noon. AARP tax preparers will be at the senior center, 20 Highland St, from 9 a.m. to noon every Monday through April 1. The service is free. Call 508-234-2002 for more information.

Northbridge Elementary pre-school lottery: Enrollment in the lottery will be Feb. 1-28. To be placed in the lottery, stop into the main office of the school on Cross Street between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The program serves 3- and 4-year-old children.

Tuesday, Feb. 12
Planning Board:
7 p.m. The Planning Board will meet in Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville.

Trustees of Soldiers and Sailors Memorials: 7 p.m. The Trustees of Soldiers And Sailors Memorials will meet in Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., to vote to place a name on the Vietnam Memorial.

Divorce recovery support group: 6:30 p.m. For men and women who are separated or divorced and living single again. Northbridge Democratic Committee Caucus: 7 p.m. The Northbridge Democratic Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in Memorial Town Hall to elect delegates to the Democratic Convention.

Conservation Commission meeting: 7 p.m. The Conversation Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall annex, 14 Hill St.

Knitting and Needlework: 6 p.m. New and experienced knitters are invited to join the group at Whitinsville Social Library, 17 Church St.

Yankee Doodle Circus: 5:15 and 7:30 p.m. The Yankee Doodle Circus will be at Northbridge High School, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville. The circus is offering one free adult ticket with the advance purchase of one $15 adult ticket. In addition, four free children's tickets are provided with the online purchase of an adult ticket. Advance tickets are available at any of the town’s public schools or online at http://circusboxoffice.com/ .Day of the show tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 14 and younger.

Thursday, February 14

Choco-L-Art show by the Blackstone Valley Art Association:
10 a.m. Rescheduled from Feb. 9. The Blackstone Valley Art Association opens its second Choco-L-Art show at the Whitinsville Social Library. The event continues through Feb. 16. The opening, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes a free chocolate tasting.

Free math tutoring: 11 a.m. Free math tutoring for Middle School students at the Whitinsvlle Social Library.  The tutoring is provided as a community service by a retired math teacher with 40 years experience. Call the library at 508-234-2151 or ask at front desk to register.

Historical Room at Whitinsville Social Library: 10 a.m. to noon. Most items may be photographed but not removed from the Historical Room.
