What To Do In Northbridge This Weekend

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. ‒ The theme in Northbridge this weekend is Halloween, featuring the annual roller-skating costume party at the Whitin Community Center on Friday and the Northbridge High School Student Council Halloween Fest on Saturday, with chamber music and high school sports thrown in for good measure. Friday, Oct. 26

Costume roller-skating party: Children 5 and under, 5:45 to 6:30 p.m., ages 6 to 10, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Goodie bags will given to costumed skaters. Concessions will be available at both events. All proceeds go to support the Whitin Community Center’s Youth Outreach Programs. $4 per child. Parents are free. Whitin Community Center, 15 Main St.

Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra: Wine and cheese reception from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Performance begins at 7:30 p.m. $19. Singh Performance Center at Alternatives', 60 Douglas Road.

Friday night football: 7 p.m. Northbridge High School Rams take on Oxford at Oxford.

NHS field hockey: 3:30 p.m. Northbridge High School field hockey against Grafton at Lasell Field, 171 Linwood Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 27

NHS Halloween Fest: 6 to 8 p.m. Haunted House opens at 6:30 p.m. $4, $1 off with the donation of two non-perishable canned goods for the food pantry. Sponsored by the Northbridge High School Student Council. Northbridge High School field house, 471 Linwood Ave.
