NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. ‒ The week ahead in Northbridge begins with a meeting of the Board of Selectmen and wraps up with a church Christmas fair, a benefit comedy night and a free holiday concert on the weekend.

Monday, Nov 26

Board of Selectmen: 7 p.m. Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville. The public is invited.

School Committee Negotiations Subcommittee: 6:15 p.m. Administration Building Conference Room, Linwood Avenue.

Tuesday, Nov. 27

Voter registration: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. A special voter registration session for unregistered voters wishing to vote in the Dec. 17 special town election.

School Committee: 7 p.m. Northbridge High School media center, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.

Planning Board: 7 p.m. Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville. The public is invited.

Wednesday, Nov. 28

Conservation Commission: 7 p.m. Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville. The public is invited.

Knitting and Needlework: 6 p.m. Whitinsville Social Library, 17 Church St. All levels of experience invited.

School Committee Negotiations Subcommittee: 6 p.m. Nurse Conference Room at Northbridge High School, 427 Linwood Ave.

Douglas Road Neighborhood Meeting: 7 p.m. Memorial Town Hall, 7 Main St., Whitinsville. Residents who live near the proposed Douglas Road DPW are invited to ask questions and air their views.

Thursday, Nov. 29

Story & Crafts: 10 a.m. Whitinsville Social Library, 17 Church St., Whitinsville. Stories and crafts for children 2 and over.

Tutoring night: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Northbridge High School Student Council will hold a tutoring session at the high school, 427 Linwood Ave.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Christmas Fair: 9 a.m. The Village Congregational Church, 5 Church St., Whitinsville, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Sam Nation Comedy Night: 7 p.m. Uxbridge Progressive Club, 18 Whitin St., Uxbridge. $20, 21 plus only. The event benefits the Samantha Prescott Scholarship Fund. Three featured comedians ‒ Al Park, Ray Harrington and Ken Reid.

Board of Health: 9 a.m. Barn inspection at 1200 Mendon Road, Whitinsville.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Winter Holiday Concert: 2 p.m. The Blackstone Valley Community Concert Band, Uxbridge High School Auditorium, 300 Quaker Highway, Uxbridge. Admission is free, although donations will be gratefully
accepted.
