NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Aldo B. Consigli, 90, of Upton, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, in the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge.
He was the husband of the late Rismonte "Rose" (Iervolino) Consigli who died in 2001. He was born in Milford, son of the late Peter and Pia (Pettinatti) Consigli and lived in Milford before moving to Upton in 1960. He was educated in the Milford schools.
He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Consigli retired in 1986 from the Consigli Construction Company of which he was part owner. After retirement, he continued to take repair jobs until his full retirement in 2008.
He was a life member and Past Commander of V.F.W. Post #5594 in Upton, member of the American Legion Powers post 59 in Milford, member of the Lawrence Heron D.A.V post #6, Italian American Veterans in Milford, Brick Layers Union #51 and Past President of the Upton Kiwanis.
He is survived by three sons, Atty. Aldo B. and his wife Elizabeth (Griffin) Consigli, Jr. of Upton, James P. Consigli of Upton, John and his wife Gale (Bobick) Consigli of Chester, N.H.; one brother, George Consigli of Milford; three sisters, Rita Coffey of Hopedale, Eleana Murphy of Milford, Gloria Coffey of Milford; four grandchildren, Atty. Brian A. and his wife Tracy (Rogers) Consigli of Mendon, Craig A. and his wife Stephanie (Sampson) Consigli of Northbridge, Adam R. Consigli and his fiancée Kerri Giannino of Boston, Alyssa B. Consigli and her husband Jayson Parrott of Hinesburg, Vt., seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. in the St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 151 Mendon St. in Upton. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
