NORTH UXBRIDGE, Mass. – Annie J. (Jacobs) Gniadek, 85, died peacefully Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 while resting comfortably at Lydia Taft House of Uxbridge. Her husband of more than 54 years, Rudolph J. “Rudy” Gniadek died in 2003.
Born and raised in the New Village section of Whitinsville, Ann was the daughter of the late Orris and Sarah (Doey) Jacobs.
She was a long time homemaker who always put her family first. Ma will be dearly missed by her two sons, David and his wife, Robin Gniadek of Uxbridge and Jeffrey and his wife, Diane Gniadek of Northbridge. She was also a proud grandmother of Julie, Steven, Daniel, and Joshua. She is also survived by her brother, Francis Jacobs and his wife, Joyce of Linwood along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers; Velma Roberts, Elsie Liberty, Gladys Langurand, Isabelle Bianco, Margaret Jacobs and Alfred, Archie and Stewart Jacobs.
Ann was a devoted member of the United Presbyterian Church of Whitinsville. Her golden years were spent traveling, getting out of the house, and dining out always with Rudy and friends. Her yard was always colorful with flowers and her birdfeeders were always filled.
To anyone touched by the hearts of Ann and Rudy, their family would like you to feed “her” birds, share a meal with those you love, and honor the memory of Annie’s life in any manner God’s spirit leads you.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 North Main St. (Rt. 122), Uxbridge. Burial will be at a later date in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Linwood, Ave., Whitinsville. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.01605.
