NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Clara A. (Forsythe) Pechulis, formerly of Sheryl Drive, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at St. Camillus Health Center where she had been a resident the past two years.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Francis J. Pechulis; three daughters, Kathleen A. and her husband Stanley Kmiotek of Tolland, CT, Jane F. and her husband Glenn Purple of Avon, CT, and Beth P. and her husband David Warengo of Mesa, AZ; six grandchildren, Chrystalle Ball and her husband Jeremy, Rebecca Kmiotek, Douglas Kmiotek, Matthew Purple, Katherine Purple, and Sarah Purple; two sisters, Nancy Lussier and Barbara Beauchamp both of Northbridge; and several nephews and nieces. She was sister of the late Alice Peloquin.
Born in Whitinsville on June 24, 1930, she was the daughter of J. Francis and Beatrice (Donais) Forsythe and lived in Whitinsville most of her life. She had also lived in the Fitchburg-Leominster area 12 years.
Mrs. Pechulis was a secretary for the town of Northbridge Planning Board many years, retiring in 1991. Previously she worked at Future Electronics in Westborough and Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge. Educated in the Northbridge public school system, she was an active member of the Whitinsville Women's Club and of St. Patrick's Church. Clara loved spending time with her grandkids especially at Disney World. She enjoyed trips with Foxy Travel and shopping.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Uxbridge. Calling hours at the funeral home in Whitinsville are Monday, Nov. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Donations in Clara's memory may be made to St. Camillus Activities Fund, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
