Obituary: Cynthia A. 'Cindy' (Ashton) Daltorio, 56

UXBRIDGE, Mass. - Cynthia A. “Cindy” (Ashton) Daltorio, 56, formerly of Uxbridge, died Tuesday, Dec. 18 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. 

She is survived by two sons Berry H. Adams of Worcester with whom she lived and Thomas P. Adams of Uxbridge; a daughter Sally M.  Adams-Bigelow and her husband Albert of Northbridge; a granddaughter Charlotte Mae Adams of Uxbridge and was very excited for a grandson on the way in February; three sisters Sandra Peterson and her husband Ludwig of N. Smithfield, RI, Brenda Scroggins and her husband Jamie of Mystic, CT, and Tina Paul of Uxbridge, many nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was predeceased by a sister Donna L. Ashton who died on Oct. 16, 2011. 

Born in Northbridge on Sept. 24, 1956 she was the daughter of the late John B.L. and Louise (Lavallee) Ashton and lived in Uxbridge all of her life before moving to Worcester.  She was educated in the Uxbridge School system and enjoyed attending the Dream Center and St. John's Church both in Worcester.  Cindy loved nature and animals.  She enjoyed learning about Native American culture, art, and history.  She could be caught singing and dancing to music at any given moment.  She was a fun-loving, caring person who embraced daily life.  Her family, especially her children and nieces and nephews were of the utmost importance to her.

A Celebration of Life for Cindy will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5 at noon at the VFW Hall, Rte. 16, Uxbridge.
