NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Helen M. (Deschene) Hall, 97, died Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Milford Regional Medical Center. Her husband, William A. Hall, died in 1963.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur E. Hall, of Ketchum, ID, and Robert W. Hall, of Weston, CT; two daughters, Penelope Kapolka, and her husband, Peter, of Norwell, and Patricia Ebbeling, and her husband, Robert, of Northbridge; eight grandchildren, Adam Kapolka, Matthew Kapolka, Christopher Hall, Jonathan Hall, Jessica Boccanfuso, Ashley Hall, Vanessa Hill, and Seth Ebbeling; and eight great grandchildren, Christopher Kapolka, Camden Kapolka, Nina Hall, Kiyol Hall, James Boccanfuso, Ella Rose Boccanfuso, Trevor Hall, and Juliet Hill. She was perdeceased by a grandson, Peter Hall.
Mrs. Hall was born in Whitinsville, September 30, 1915, a daughter of Philias and Aurelie (Isabelle) Deschene, and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Northbridge High School in 1934.
She worked in the Whitinsville office of the Massachusetts Welfare Department, and for many years, also worked at the former Flagg's Pharmacy in Whitinsville. She was a member of Saint Patrick's Church in Whitinsville, and she was an active member of the Northbridge Senior Center. A woman of many and diverse interests, she loved reading and playing computer games.
Mrs. Hall's Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14 in Saint Patrick's Church, Cross Street, Whitinsville. Intrement will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville.
