Obituary: Philip R. Quinn, 28

DOUGLAS, Mass. - Philip R. Quinn, 28, of 62 North St. died suddenly on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 after being stricken ill.

He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Deborah (Neslusan) Quinn with whom he lived; a brother, Erik Quinn of Westfield and a sister, Ashley Quinn of Douglas; his maternal grandmother, Janet Ouillette; uncles, Robert Quinn and his wife Mary of Worcester, Thomas Quinn of Clark County, OH, Bruce Quinn and his wife Serafina of Holden, Francis Neslusan, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Douglas; aunts, Suzanne Quinn of Groveland and Donna Bloniasz and her husband Richard of Brookline, NH, as well as many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Lena Quinn, and his maternal grandfather, Francis Neslusan, Sr.

Philip was born in Houston, TX, graduated from Douglas High School, and lived in Douglas all of his life. He loved fishing, the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and all things related to cars. And the times he spent with his long-time friends Murph and Kane will always be cherished.


The funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. in Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas. Burial will follow in St. Denis cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, Oct. 14 from 2 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip's memory may be made to The Diabetes Center of Excellence at UMass Medical School, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, MA 01655.
