Man Arrested on Warrants During Northbridge Traffic Stop

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – A Millbury man was arrested on warrants charging him with larceny and possession of a Class A substance during a Northbridge traffic stop Monday, police said.

Peter Verdini, 39, of 1527 Grafton Road, Millbury, was arrested on default warrants issued by Worcester District Court and Westborough District Court during a vehicle stop on Main Street.

The charges on the Worcester warrant are larceny over $100, possession of a Class A substance and violation of drug laws. The charge from Westborough court is possession of a Class A substance.

Sgt. Brian Patrinelli and Patrolman Matthew Leonard were the arresting officers.

During the week of Jan. 21 to 28, Northbridge police also responded to several minor motor vehicle accidents and two domestic dispute calls and investigated two reports of threatening telephone calls.
