Northbridge Police Arrest One On Alleged Abuse Charge

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – A 41-year-old Whitinsville man was arrested Sunday and charged with attempted murder and domestic assault and battery after an alleged incident on D Street.

Police said Gary F. McKay of 4 D St., was arrested at his home at about 5:20 p.m. following an investigation into the alleged abuse of a juvenile.

He was held on $10,000 bail and scheduled for arraignment in Uxbridge District Court on Monday.

Arresting officers were Patrolmen Randy Lloyd, Jeff White and Jarrod Woeller.

Other arrests made by Northbridge police the last week include:

  • Christopher S. Zuidema, 28, of 2210 Providence Road, Northbridge, Feb. 28 on an outstanding warrant for false fire alarm, disorderly conduct and destruction of property under $250.

Police said he was kept in custody pending bail arrangements. The arresting officer was Patrolman Randy Lloyd.

The department also responded to several reports of breaks into automobiles, property damage motor vehicle accidents and domestic abuse allegations.
