Northbridge Police Charge Local Man For Domestic Assault

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – A 30-year-old Whitinsville man was charged Sunday on a probation warrant.

Police said Joshua Poirier of 16 Woodland St. was arrested at a residence on Church Street at 2:15 a.m. He was held at the police station and arraigned in Uxbridge District Court on Monday.

On Monday at 3:53 a.m., Jeramy Dalpe, 38, of 112 N. Main St., Whitinsville, was arrested at his residence after police responded to a report of domestic abuse. Police said Dalpe was charged with domestic assault and battery, and intimidating a witness. He was arraigned in Uxbridge District Court.

Clint Spears, 35, of 185 Prescott Road, Whitinsville, was arrested Oct. 26 and charged on a default warrant out of Worcester District Court. Police said the original charge was trespassing. Police said Spears was recognized while walking down Prescott Street and that the arrest was on the warrant only. Arresting Officers were Lt. Timothy Labrie and Officer Jeffrey White.

In addition to the arrests, Northbridge police responded to several minor motor vehicle incidents, and on Monday afternoon into evening many reports of downed trees and power outages, as Hurricane Sandy blew through central Massachusetts.
