NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Business was slow at the Primary Election polls at Northbridge High School this afternoon. The polls will be open until 8 p.m., and Town Clerk Doreen Cedrone is hoping for a late afternoon/early evening surge as residents return home from work.

Though there is only one race - between Incumbent James McGovern, D-Worcester, and William Feegbeh of Worcester for U.S. Congress in the in the 2nd Congressional district - taking the opportunity to vote is important, said one poll worker.

"I wouldn't want to see it taken away,'' she said

All four of the town's voting precincts vote at the high school field house, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
