NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. — The Northbridge registrars of voters will hold two special registration sessions for unregistered voters who wish to vote in the Dec. 4 special town meeting and Dec. 17 special election.

A session will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the town clerk's office, 7 Main St., for those who wish to vote in the Special Town Meeting scheduled for Dec. 4. Corrections in the list of voters can also be made at that time.

A second session will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the town clerk's office, 7 Main St., for those who wish to vote in the Special Election scheduled for Monday, Dec. 17.

Town Clerk Doreen Cedrone lists the necessary qualifications for registrants:

• An applicant for registration must be at least 18 by the date of the election, a U.S. citizen and a resident of Northbridge.

• If a qualified voter whose name was on the voters list last year finds after close of registration that his or her name is on the inactive voters list by mistake or that there is a clerical error in the listing, he or she may apply to correct the omission or error.  If the application is made on Election Day, he or she may have a certificate to vote.

Call the Board of Registrars’ Office, 508-234-2001, for information.

Those unable because of physical disability to appear in person to register or who wish to verify voting status or receive a mail-in affidavit of registration may call the town clerk at 508-234-2001.
