NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. — State Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, welcomed Northbridge native Jeffrey Andrews to the State House while Andrews was on winter break from Babson College in Wellesley.

Andrews, a  freshman majoring in business management, was the 2012 Massachusetts Student Government Day representative from Northbridge High School. He was also president of the Class of 2012 and student representative to the School Committee.

Andrews is interested in politics and hopes to be active at some level after he graduates from Babson and begins his career in the business world. He first met Moore during one of the senator’s visits to Northbridge High School.

Moore, a past president of the National Conference of State Legislatures, is a frequent visitor to area schools to encourage students to learn about their government.
