No School In Northbridge Tuesday Due To Power Outages

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - There will be no school Tuesday in Northbridge as the town mops up from Hurricane Irene, Schools Superintendent Nancy Spitulnik announced Monday evening.

Thousands of Northbridge residents were without power Monday evening as Hurricane Sandy began to lessen its grip on the region. Northbridge was among several local schools, including Millbury, to call off classes due to power outages and downed trees.

Who was the brilliant genius that closed Main Street heading west towards Wal-Mart at Border Street??? Don't you think closing Main Street at North Main Street would have been smarter instead of vehicles being forced to head up Border Street or turning around back to North Main Street. What were you thinking???
