NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – Students at Northbridge Elementary and Balmer School celebrated the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as children’s book author Dr. Seuss, this week with various activities.
One day they wore mismatched socks. On another they wore funny hats, and on another they wore clothing that was backwards or inside out.
On Friday, they brought in their favorite stuffed animal and listened to stories read to them by members of the community including Police Chief Walter Warchol, Finance Committee member Salvatore D’Amato, former school principal Dwain Robbins, Uxbridge Selectman Peter Baghdasarian and Northbridge Town Manager Theodore Kozak.
Reader Christine Beauchaine, a yoga teacher, led her class in some yoga poses.
