NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The Northbridge Special Education Parent Advisory Council will host a presentation from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 7 at Northbridge High School Media Center,  427 Linwood Ave.

The Department of Developmental Services will provide information regarding 18- and 22-year-old transitions and day employment options. It will be held in collaboration with Alternatives of Whitinsville, a non-profit human services agency.

There will be handouts and a question-and-answer time.

The Department of Developmental Services is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate in and contribute to their communities as valued members.

Alternatives helps individuals with psychiatric or developmental disabilities build meaningful lives in the community, lives that include real homes, real jobs and real relationships.

Last year, Alternatives provided services to more than 2,000 people across Central Massachusetts. It also sponsors community events that people of all abilities can enjoy together.
