NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – Northbridge High School students and faculty recognized as November 2012 Kudos Award winners and honored with an awards breakfast were recently announced.

The “Kudos” student recognition program is based upon Northbridge High School’s “RAMS” mission statement – “Together we encourage Responsibility, Achievement, Mutual respect, and Service.”

Students can be recognized at any time with a “Kudos Kard” for doing good things throughout the school.  Students then place the Kards in a box, and they are collected each month, making the students eligible to be selected to win an awards breakfast.

Each month, teachers vote for one student from each grade in each of four categories to be selected for the honor. Students receive breakfast, a “Kudos Koin” which can be used like cash at the school store or cafeteria, and a certificate recognizing their achievement.

Honored for demonstrating outstanding responsibility were freshman Audrey Clasby, sophomore Hannah Mignault, junior Courtney Carroll and senior Joshua Schiapucci.

For demonstrating outstanding achievement, students honored were freshman Brenna Covino, sophomore Valerie Grondin, junior Mohammed Halabi and senior Angela Moore.

Honored for demonstrating outstanding mutual respect were freshman Devyn Jacobs, freshman Alicia Maynard, sophomore Megan Brower, junior Bethany Hryzan and senior Sarah Watterson.

For demonstrating outstanding service, the honorees were freshman Matthew Bedigian, sophomore Shauna Mottram, junior Shayna Geddis and senior Alison Burdick.

Teachers recognized for living the RAMS mission statement were Stephanie Bentley, Steve Falconer, Susan Palmer-Howes and Stephen DiMare.
