NORTHBRDGE, Mass. – Northbridge High School graduates from as far back as 1984 will participate in an alumni basketball game Feb. 6 to raise money for the Kenneth Baker Scholarship Fund.

Baker, a 2004 graduate of Northbridge High School and the son of NHS varsity basketball coach Paul Baker, was killed last fall in an accident in New York City.

While at NHS, he played on the varsity basketball team and was captain his senior year. He also worked at the Whitin Community Center camps for many years.

His sister, Ryan, graduated from NHS in 2010 and is the starting point guard at Rivier College in New Hampshire. His father, a 1979 graduate of NHS, has been coaching the varsity team since 1999.

Two scholarships are planned, the Kenneth Baker Memorial Scholarship, and a camp scholarship at the center.

Participants who play will donate $20. Tickets at the door are $3 and other donations will be accepted at the game. Anyone who would like to donate, may send a check made out to Northbridge Basketbal Alumni, care of Aaron Katz, 427 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville, MA 01588.

The game will be at 7 p.m. at Northbridge High School, 427 Linwood Ave., Whtinsville. Katz said the plan is to have an alumni game every year.
