Northbridge Legion Post 343 in Mini-Tournament

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - The Northbridge American Legion Baseball Club – Post 343 qualified for play in a Zone 4 Mini-Tournament which will decide its representative in the Massachusetts National Qualifier State Tournament.

Based on every Zone 4 team’s record in which only the first game played against each team counted towards qualification, the Northbridge club learned last night that it will play Shrewsbury tomorrow night.

Only eight Zone 4 teams qualified for this tournament out of its 15 teams.Teams that failed to qualify will have an opportunity to make up games and receive some much needed rest.

The Northbridge game will take place at the new Shrewsbury High School baseball field at 5:30 p.m.. It is a single elimination tournament format with play taking place over three days.

The eventual winner will receive a direct pass to the National Qualifier.

After each day’s play, re-seeding will take place with the remaining highest seeds hosting the next game.

 #7 Northbridge at #2 Shrewsbury at 5:30 p.m. (Shrewsbury HS)

 #6 Framingham at #3 Auburn at 7 p.m. (Auburn HS)

 #5 Leominster at #4 East Side (Site and Time to be announced)
