Do a search of the word "conjecturally", "conjectural" or "conjecture" and you will find that "juggy, Gladys Kravitz, Jughead Jones and Nbridgeperson are all seem to be the same person operating under a bunch of names to try to give the appearance that more people share his/her misinformed thoughts.
You've fooled no one Juggy-Gladys-Jughead-Nbridge, your "writing Tourette's" have made this an easy observation to make.
Take a look at the writing style of all 4 user names, punctuation, use of comma's, quotation marks, word choices, etc. and tell me I am wrong.
Pick a name and stick with it, may lend you a little more credibility in the future.

Uxbridge just voted in a 2 million dollar TURF field complex at the new HS and that is a drastically scaled down price tag from previous proposals.
They are BORROWING FOR 20 YEARS TO DO THIS, 20 YEARS AT 4%! AT THE END OF IT ALL THEY WILL DOUBLE THE PRICE WITH ROUGHLY 2 MILLION IN INTEREST CHARGES!
NORTHBRIDGE CAN PASS ALL 3 QUESTIONS AND THE AVERAGE TAXPAYER WILL STILL SEE AN AVERAGE OF $70 IN REDUCTIONS IN TAX LEVY FOR NEXT YEAR.
PLUS, WE WILL OWN ALL OF THE RENOVATIONS TO TOWN HALL, IMPROVEMENTS TO THE ROADS AND THE TURF FIELD BY THE END OF THE YEAR, NOT 20 YEARS FROM NOW.
ONE WAY OR ANOTHER THE CONDITION OF THE FIELDS IN TOWN WILL NEED TO BE ADDRESSED, DO YOU WANT TO BORROW TO DO THAT AND DOUBLE THE COSTS OF THE PROJECT?
Do the right thing, YES on all 3. View Comment
Yes on all 3. These are all good projects. There is no way we could create another field for $900,000 that has ample parking, bleachers, press box, restrooms, etc. How would the schools transport kids to a new, off site field if one were built. Lasell is accessible to all students in the MS and HS.
Lasell field is a great venue and providing a safe playing surface will benefit all the youth programs as well as the HS...I can see a benefit to the Parks and Rec offerings outside sports too if wanted.
It can make money if managed the correct way and that should go into an account that allows the field to be managed, maintained and replaced when it become necessary.
Public buildings need windows that are safe and conserve energy, I cant believe these repair wouldn't help with heating costs.
Roads, take a drive down Quaker, goldwaithe or hill street and tell me we don't need repairs...

All of the school fields are used by youth programs right now too. The position is that turf on Lasell would allow youth sports to use Lasell also.
Its my understanding, like all the other fields in town, that Parks and Rec would have oversight and scheduling after the school sports have finished. The idea is that Lasell could serve more games. teams, etc and allow the other fields to have less usage and remain in better shape.
Youth soccer, pop warner and lacrosse and possibly others would benefit from this project, I would guess that 500+ kids play one of these sports in town.
This project would add more opportunities for everyone, summer camps, club teams, tournaments, MIAA events, adult leagues, etc. Maybe parks and rec can re-start the youth summer camps they used to run at Lasell.
If done right, revenue can be generated to offset maintenance and future repair/replacement.
If only the schools used the school fields, youth sports and recreation would be in a real tough spot. This is not a school only project.
Friends of Lasell have tried to fund-raise and at one time had a possible corporate partner. They were told that the idea of having a corporate sponsor was a disgrace to John Whitin Lasell and his legacy. This is the only way to get it done and it is a unique opportunity with the HS being paid off 9 years early.
Again, 3 worthy projects and our taxes will be LESS than this year.
This town has to stop waiving the banner of "lowest tax rate in the Valley", what we get for it and what we do to maintain what we have has been severely undercut by this mentality.
Taxes in this town are reasonable and we now OWN our HS 9 years early, we can afford to pass all 3 questions.
Vote YES on all 3, you will not get a chance like this again. View Comment
$900,000 won't do a thing if we spread it out across all the crappy fields in this town. This project can help make one field consistently playable and could be used 12+ hours each day if needed. Remember this one important thing, we could vote YES on all 3 questions and still have our taxes come in lower than this current year.
The field right now is an absolute mess, and the others in town are not too far behind. Look at the new HS grass fields, they will soon be just as bad.
Turf at Lasell will help all the other fields in that they will have less demand and actually have time to recover after a season.
I know some of you see turf as a luxury, it is not. Take a look at all the towns installing it. Grafton is installing 2 at their new HS. Towns are doing a simple cost/benefit estimate and it seems that artificial surfaces are proving their worth.
Vote yes on all 3 questions, there will not be another opportunity like this. View Comment
I feel like we should be supporting all of the questions this spring. The roads, firehouse, dpw, town hall and fields are all in need of support, repair, etc.
These items only rear their head after years of underfunding and supporting essential parts of what government SHOULD be doing: educating and fostering children, keeping our roads and public assets clean and maintained and our public safety departments equipped with the best possible equipment and facilities.
We can waive the "lowest tax rate in the valley" banner all day long, but does that trump having pride in what our town has to offer its residents in terms of safety and civic pride?
The recreational space in this town, both school owned and public space is embarrassing in my opinion. Lasell field IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
The fire department houses itself in a run down, former parking garage.
The DPW is sitting on a river and if it was a private entity, it would have been shut down years ago by any number of agencies (EPA and OSHA) to name a few.
The roads, good thing we have an auto parts store in just about every square mile in town, they love all the ball joints, tie rod ends, etc that need to be replaced after a nice morning ride in town.
Step up and support giving out town some much needed capital for some easily justifiable projects. I know my pockets are not overflowing with extra cash, but I feel these are items that I will see a direct benefit from and that not something you can often say when handing your money over to the tax man.
My 2 cents. View Comment
