Child Fatally Struck By Car Walking Home From Park: Egg Harbor Township Police
A child was fatally struck by a vehicle after he and another juvenile were hit by a car on Saturday, May 17, authorities said.
At 2:20 p.m., officers responded to Delaware Avenue and Fernwood Avenue after two juveniles were struck by a vehicle, Egg Harbor Township police.
A 2014 Chevy Camaro, driven by a 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident, swerved to the right to avoid a crash with a 2022 Mini Cooper, going off the road and onto the grass shoulder, police said. As the vehicle went off the road, it struck the two juveniles, who were walking home from Bargaintown Park, police said.
