New Jersey Dramatically Shifts Right In 2024 Presidential Election The rightward shift of the country in the 2024 presidential election happened right in the Garden State. Vice President Kamala Harris defeated President-Elect Donald Trump in New Jersey, 51% to 47% with 94% of the results in, which marks a 12-point shift from 2020, when President Joe Biden defeated Trump, 57% to 41%. Woman Previously Banned From Walmart Busted For Shoplifting: Mt Olive PD A woman with a history of shoplifting at a Walmart in Mount Olive was arrested again for the same crime on Friday, Nov. 1, authorities said. At 7:21 p.m., officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifter, later identified as Diane Perez-Cortes, a 57-year-old Franklin woman, in custody by loss prevention, Mount Olive police said. Newark First Responders Rescue Man From Passaic River: Police A 23-year-old man was rescued after falling into the Passaic River in Newark on Saturday, Nov. 2, authorities said. At 10:22 p.m., first responders went to the Passaic River at Jersey Street and Raymond Boulevard on a call of a man in the water, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victim was safely rescued and transported to University Hospital for treatment, Fragé said. He is reportedly in stable condition, Fragé said.

Man Driving Porsche Possessed Heroin, Meth: Denville PD A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged on Saturday, Oct. 26, after he was discovered to be in possession of heroin and methamphetamine in Denville, authorities said.
