Monroe Adds Extra Hours For Absentee Voting For Primary MONROE, Conn. — The office of the Town Clerk in Monroe is offering extended hours for absentee ballots for those who qualify. The hours are as follows: Thursday, April 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 23, from 9-11 a.m. Connecticut's presidential primary is Tuesday, April 26. Only voters enrolled in a political party may take part. Absentee voting is a two-step process. An application for a ballot must be signed and filed with the Town Clerk before a ballot can be issued.
