Noroton Fire Department In Darien Adds Utility Truck To Its Arsenal DARIEN, Conn. — The Noroton Volunteer Fire Department in Darien recently took delivery of a new utility truck that will expand its ability to respond to emergencies throughout Darien. Truck 35 is a 2016 Ford F350 with a full crew cab that can carry up to five firefighters. The truck has compartments on each side that carry fire extinguishers, hand tools and more. The truck bed enables fireman to utilize additional equipment and manpower when responding to calls for liquid spills, down powerlines and flooding emergencies. Norwalk Reminds Residents That Transfer Station/Beach Passes Expire Soon NORWALK, Conn. -- The 2015 Norwalk Resident/Beach Pass expires on March 31. Residents will be given a 30-day grace period at both the Transfer Station and Yard Waste Site. Residents will be required to have the 2016 Resident/Beach Pass by May 1 for cars or SUVs that enter the Norwalk Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site.
