Beaver St. Apartments In Danbury Gains $3M Loan For Renovations DANBURY, Conn. -- Newtown Savings Bank has approved of a $3 million mortgage loan to pay for major renovation projects at the Beaver Street Apartments Cooperative in Danbury, according to WLAD.com. The renovations are now underway, reported WLAD.com. With 70 units accommodating about 300 residents, the Beaver Street Apartments Cooperative is the only low-income family housing cooperative in Western Connecticut, reported WLAD.com. Renaissance Housing Project Approved By Brookfield Zoning Commission BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Brookfield Zoning Commission recently signed off on the new Renaissance housing development in the Four Corners area, according to WLAD.com.Initially, the developer submitted a controversial plan for a six story building. The building had no retail space. Negotiations were prompted when public safety and other concerns were raised, WLAD.com said.
