New Jersey Man Charged With DWI In Tappan
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- A New Jersey man is facing charges of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in Tappan this past weekend, Orangetown police said.
Justin Abraham, 27, of Williamstown, was arrested around 4:37 p.m. Saturday on Route 303, police said.
When he was stopped, Abraham had watery, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, police said.
Abraham failed field sobriety tests and consented to a breath test once back at police headquarters but “failed to provide a sufficient measurable sample after numerous attempts,” police said.

Artist Captures Spirit Of Late Brookfield Police Dog
BROOKFIELD, CONN. -- K-9 Bruno, a beloved member of the Brookfield Police Department, may be gone, but his memory will live on as a work of art.
Meriden artist Rachael Chandler, who runs a pet portrait business called 4 Paws and a Paintbrush, recently presented a likeness of the late police dog to his handler, Police Officer Jeffrey Osuch.
It shows Bruno, a black German shepherd with big pointy ears, wearing a police badge and sitting under a rainbow.
The 11-year-old police dog, who had worked with Osuch for eight years, died in early July.

$50K Prize Awaits Customer Who Bought Powerball Ticket In Nyack
NYACK, N.Y. -- Someone is holding a winning lottery ticket worth $50,000 and purchased in Nyack, the New York Lottery announced Friday.
The Powerball ticket was bought at Fuel Mart, a Shell gas station and mini-mart at 53 Route 59, lottery officials said.
Two additional winning tickets, also worth $50,000 were sold in Bethpage, on Long Island, and in the Bronx, they said.
According to lottery officials, no one won the jackpot of $434.8 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. The top prize is now $478 million.
