She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Teens Crash Stolen Car: Trio Nabbed After Fleeing In Trumbull Three teens have been charged after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen car, crashing, and then running away in an attempt to escape. The three were nabbed in Trumbull on Friday, Jan. 17 On Friday, Jan. 13, after an officer noticed a Kia Optima in the parking lot of the Westfield Trumbull Mall that had been reported stolen out of New York City. 500 Gallons Of Cooking Oil Stolen From Restaurant: Westchester Duo Nabbed In CT, Police Say Two New York men have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than 500 gallons of used cooking oil at a Connecticut restaurant. The men, both from Westchester County, were stopped in Litchfield County in Harwinton around 5:45 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12. According to Connecticut State Police, the duo, identified as Yonkers residents Jeyson Santiago, age 25, and Isaac Then, age 25, were stopped after troopers received a 911 call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near a restaurant in Harwinton. Homeless Bridgeport Man Critical After Attack By Unknown Suspect A Bridgeport homeless man is in critical condition after receiving severe trauma to the face and the back of his head. The incident was reported around 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the 800 block of Fairfield Ave., said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police. The Bridgeport Fire Department arrived on the scene and quickly located a 49-year-old man suffering from severe trauma to his face and the back of his head, Gilleran said. Drug Bust: Man Caught With $30K In Cocaine During Traffic Stop In Hudson Valley A man was busted with more than $30,000 in cocaine during a traffic stop in the area. Wayne Green, age 42, of Massachusetts, was stopped by members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force in Amenia on Tuesday, Jan. 10, said Det. Sgt. Adam Harris, of the task force. Man Wanted For Greenlawn Burglary Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly broke into a home and stole an expensive ring, computers, and other items. The incident took place in Greenlawn in December. 'Unruly' Student Injures Several Staff Members At HS In Hudson Valley, Police Say An "unruly" male student allegedly injured several staff members when they attempted to restrain him at a Hudson Valley high school. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 13 at Arlington High School, located at 1157 Route 55, in Lagrangeville. According to Capt. Man Charged After Dropping Ghost Gun In Hudson Valley Store, Police Say A Hudson Valley man has been charged with illegally possessing a ghost gun after he allegedly dropped it in a store. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Thursday, Jan. 12, around 12:45 p.m. at 206 Main St., in Beacon. Investigation Underway Into Police-Involved Shooting Of Man Who Stole Bristol Cop Car The state Office of Inspector General is investigating an officer-involved shooting during the theft of a police cruiser following an armed carjacking that ended with the vehicle crashing into a popular restaurant.
