Hit-Run SUV Driver Wanted For Hitting Ambulance Garage, Police Say The Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help locating a white Ford Escape that allegedly hit an ambulance bay door and fled.  The incident took place in Windham County around 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Danielson. Video surveillance shows the SUV entered the parking lot of K-B Ambulance Corps on Westcott Road in Danielson where it backed up and struck one of the bay doors, said the Connecticut State Police. Report Of Woman Jumping From Bridge In Hudson Valley Under Investigation A call of a woman jumping from an area bridge set off a large-scale investigation to find her. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 4:30 a.m.,  Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge. According to Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the department received a report of a person, possibly a female, jumping from the bridge. Deputies responded to the bridge and began searching, Watterson said. CT Man Sentenced To Prison For 2019 Sexual Assault A Connecticut man was sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a 63-year-old woman whose home he was working on. Carlos Mejia, age 38, of New Haven, was sentenced on Tuesday, Dec. 13, to 15 years in prison followed by 11 years of probation for the July 2019 attack, said John Doyle, Jr., New Haven State’s Attorney. Red Cross Helping Family Of 6 Following Stamford House Fire A family of six was left homeless after an early-morning fire devasted their Fairfield County home.
