Blaze Breaks Out At Home Under Construction In Greenwich The fire marshal's office is investigating an early morning blaze at a Fairfield County home that was undergoing renovations. The fire took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Nov. 10 at the home on Palmer Hill Road. The Greenwich Fire Department said in a Facebook post that when they arrived on the scene they found heavy fire conditions. "Units were able to make a quick knockdown," the department said. Roosevelt Man Sentenced For Brutally Beating Gas Station Worker In Face With Metal Tool A Long Island man has been sentenced to prison for violently robbing and assaulting a gas station attendant in 2018. Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced that Vernon Lowe, age 56, of Roosevelt, was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 7, to 25 years to life in prison after being convicted by a jury. “A hardworking immigrant employed at a gas station was repeatedly harassed by defendant Vernon Lowe while trying to help customers,” Donnelly said. “In order to diffuse the situation, the victim gave the defendant $10 to leave the business but was later brutally beaten by Lowe with a …

Missing Man Screaming For Help Found After Falling On Steep Hiking Trail In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man who was reported missing by his wife after he failed to return from a walk was found a day later after a jogger hear his screams. Man Killed After House Fire Breaks Out In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man was killed during a large house fire overnight. The fire took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8 on Babes Lanes in the town of Newburgh. Police and firefighters responded to a home on Babes Lane after receiving 911 calls reporting smoke and fire, said Lt. Peter Talarico, of the town of Newburgh Police. Duo Accused Of Murdering Another Woman In CT Two Connecticut residents have been charged in connection with the alleged murder of another woman. The murder took place in New Haven County around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Waterbury on Newbury Street. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, officers responded to Newbury Street for a medical assistance complaint. 64-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Hit-Run Amityville Crash Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a Long Island man. The crash took place in Amityville around 8:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8, on Merrick Road near Bayview Avenue. According to Suffolk County detectives, James Agostino was riding a Huffy bicycle eastbound on Merrick Road when he was struck by a vehicle described as a dark-colored sedan. Suspect Nabbed In Attempted Robbery At Bank Of America Branch In Hudson Valley A man wanted in connection with an attempted Hudson Valley bank robbery was nabbed by police. Orange County resident Basil Martusevich, age 56, of the town of Newburgh, was caught around 10:45 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4.
