CT Man Crashes Into Pair Of Police Cruisers A Connecticut man rammed two police cruisers following a short police pursuit, after allegedly being found unconscious behind the wheel of his car. The incident took place in North Haven on Saturday, Sept. 24 on Dixwell Avenue. North Haven officers located a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of a road, in the Dixwell Avenue area, with a man in the driver seat who appeared to be unconscious, said the North Haven police. Man Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Separate SUVs In NY Crash Involving CT Resident A man who was struck by two SUVs after allegedly running out in front of the first vehicle on Long Island has died from his injuries. The incident took place in Flanders around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, on Route 105. According to Lt. Susan Ralph, with the Southampton Police, the man died on Sunday night from injuries sustained during the crash. The medical examiner is working to identify the victim. 2 Police Officers Injured After Driver Crashes Into Patrol Car In Yonkers Two Westchester police officers were injured after an alleged drunk driver pulled over for traffic violations backed into their police cruiser. The incident took place in Yonkers around 3 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 on Bronx River Road. According to Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police, during the stop the driver backed his vehicle into the police car. The officers received minor injuries, police said. The driver, who was not identified, was arrested and charged with DUI.

Woman, Dog Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Central Islip A woman and her dog were rescued by two Long Island police officers during a house fire. The incident took place in Central Islip around 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 24. Two Suffolk County Police Third Precinct officers rescued an elderly woman and her dog from a house fire after receiving a 911 call reporting smoke coming from a home on Rossmore Avenue, said the Suffolk County Police. Know Him? Police Asking For Help Identifying Long Island Bank Robber Police on Long Island are seeking the public's help to identify and locate a man who allegedly robbed a bank in February. The robbery took place in Elwood around 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, at the TD Bank on the Jericho Turnpike. Mount Vernon Youth Baseball Coach Sentenced For Having Sex With 16-Year-Old Player A Westchester County baseball coach has been sentenced to prison for having sex with a 16-year-old player. Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced that 31-year-old Mount Vernon resident Robert Pope was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 22, to the maximum term of four years in state prison for engaging in sexual activity with a 16-year-old. Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery Of Hudson Valley Man Driving Drunk With Kids In Car, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was charged with felony DWI after allegedly driving drunk with children in the car.
