Man Charged For CT Crash That Killed Wife, Passenger
A man was arrested in connection with a double-fatal crash last summer that killed his wife and another passenger.
Juan Fernandez, age 38, of Union City, New Jersey, surrendered to police on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and was charged with two counts of negligent homicide, among other charges in connection with the crash on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, in Middlesex County, on Route 15 in Woodbridge.

Former Bookkeeper From Westbury Accused Of Embezzling $120K
A former Long Island bookkeeper has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $120,000 from a local trade union.
Jennifer Jira, age 40, of Westbury, was arraigned on Thursday, Aug. 18, and charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records, said Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly.
Jira pleaded not guilty and was released on her own recognizance. If convicted on the top charge, she faces. up to 15 years in prison.

Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teenage Boy At Party In Hamptons
A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy during a party in the Hamptons.
Benjamin Coleman, age 29, of Hampton Bays, was arrested by Southampton Police on Thursday, Aug. 18.
According to the Sgt. Eric Sickles, of the Southampton Police, on Saturday, Aug. 6, a 17-year-old who was attending a party in Hampton Bays at a house where Coleman resides, called police reporting a sexual assault.
