Ocean 46 will replace the Crab Shell Restaurant at 46 Southfield Ave. The Crab Shell closed in November 2025 after serving customers for 36 years. Antonio’s Restaurant Group signed a 15-year lease for the site, according to The Hartford Business Journal. The lease covers more than 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Farmington Driver Dies After Vehicle Strikes Exit Sign Support, Flips On I-84 In New Britain An 85-year-old driver died after his vehicle ran off Interstate 84 and overturned near an exit. Abbott Schultz Jr. of Farmington was traveling west near Exit 36 in New Britain when the crash happened Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 8, Connecticut State Police said. Schultz’s vehicle left the highway and broke through a support post for the Exit 36 sign. It then flipped and stopped on its roof past the guardrail.
