A parent's report sparked an investigation that led to a Pennsylvania man's arrest for sexual contact with multiple children, police announced Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Robert Eugene Styers, 60, identified by police as a Middletown resident, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 15, following the investigation in Dauphin County.
The investigation began when a parent came forward with concerns, Lower Swatara Township Police said. Investigators subsequently alleged that Styers had sexual contact with multiple children, describing the case as a “disturbing pattern of behavior.”

A man is accused of trespassing at a Northern Westchester business and stealing hundreds of dollars worth of copper, police said.
Ossining resident Ryan Knapp, 38, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 4, in connection with the break-in, Yorktown Police announced on Monday, Sept. 14.
According to the department, the investigation began just after around 2 a.m. that day, when Yorktown Police received a report from Goldberg Plumbing at 390 East Main St. An unknown man had been seen on security cameras in the business's driveway allegedly trespassing, police said.

A 22-year-old man accused of robbing a Chase Bank in Rockland County after telling a teller he had a gun was arrested less than 20 minutes after fleeing, authorities said.
James L. Gordon, of Nanuet, is charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, and third-degree menacing in connection with the Saturday, Sept. 12 incident, Clarkstown police said. Officers responded to the Chase Bank at 61 Smith St. in Nanuet around 11:05 a.m. on a report of a robbery, police said.
