She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Artist-In-Residence At Wilton's Weir Farm Puts Her Project Into Words WILTON, Conn. -- Sarah Goetz put into words an unusual project she is working on as the artist-in-residence at Weir Farm National Historic Site during a presentation Monday night at the Wilton Library. Greenwich Girl Scout Earns Gold Award For Encouraging Global Awareness GREENWICH, Conn. — Corrine Cella of Greenwich has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.Cella's Gold Award Project, “The Geography and Culture Game Show,” centered on encouraging global awareness in her community. 3 Students At Stamford's Aite Earn Perfect Scores On National Latin Exam STAMFORD, Conn. — Three students from the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering in Stamford earned perfect scores on the recent National Latin Exam.Cara Emano, Nicholas Ricci and Brianna Soto are all students of AITE Latin Teacher Anna Koltypin. Until now, only one student from AITE had ever received a perfect score. The National Latin Exam is a 40-question multiple-choice test offered to Latin students on seven levels. New Fairfield Girl Scout Creates Database Of Books To Earn Gold Award NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Chelsea Lopez of New Fairfield has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.To earn her Gold Award, Lopez created a computerized system in her temple’s library that categorized, alphabetized and entered over 1,000 books about Jewish culture into the database. Friends, Family Bid Farewell To Danbury Soldiers Bound For Djibouti DANBURY, Conn. -- With smiles, hugs and some tears, 32 members of the 411th Civil Affairs Battalion enjoyed a large sendoff ceremony attended by about 100 people Friday at a deployment ceremony held at the Veterans Armed Forces Reserve Center in Danbury. The unit, a part of the U.S. Army Reserves, will be on a yearlong deployment conducting civil military operations in Djibouti this summer as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom to combat terrorism. Campers Take Center Stage At New Amphitheater At YMCA Camp In Brookfield BROOKFIELD, Conn. — These days, whenever 13-year-old Ryan Wunch of Danbury performs a skit at his day camp at YMCA Camp Greenknoll in Brookfield, he gets to do so on a brand new stage. "I like how the kids are very involved in the assemblies in the stage area. I also like the camp songs that we can sing on stage. My favorite song is 'Boom Chicka Boom,'" Ryan said. Bethel Mother-Daughter Wrap Tree In Rainbow As Tribute To Orlando Tragedy BETHEL, Conn. -- The 49 innocent lives lost in the Orlando nightclub shooting on June 12 have been mourned in many places all over the world -- from large outdoor arenas in big cities and now to a little tree on a small block in the tiny town of Bethel.
