AARP Sponsors Safe Driving Course At Greenwich Hospital GREENWICH, Conn. -- AARP is giving a Safe Driving Course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at Greenwich Hospital.At the course, participants will learn about current rules of the road, operating vehicles safely and adjusting to common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. All Items Approved At Redding Special Town Meeting REDDING, Conn. -- At a Special Town Meeting on Monday, April 11, at Town Hall in Redding, about 50 residents approved four motions, according to an article in The Redding Pilot. Norwalk Driver Busted With Two Pounds Of Pot On I-84 In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — A Norwalk man pulled over for speeding on I-84 in Danbury was arrested on multiple charges after State Police found more than 2 pounds of pot in his car, police said.On Tuesday afternoon, a Connecticut State Police trooper was on routine patrol at I-84 westbound at Exit 6 in Danbury when a vehicle passed it in the left lane going 75 mph, state police said. The trooper pulled over the driver, Dimitrios Jimmy Tziokas, 41, of Norwalk, just west of Exit 5, police said. Tziokas told state police his cruise control was set at 74 mph. By Bike NEWTOWN, Conn. -- The Connecticut Congressional delegation and gun violence prevention leaders joined with Team 26 from Newtown in Washington, D,C. on Tuesday, to call for action to prevent gun violence in the United States. Greenwich Soccer Star Plays For U.S. Men's Team In International Tournament GREENWICH, Conn. -- Tyler Shaver, who lives in Greenwich and plays for a Westport soccer club, has just returned from France where his U.S. U17 Men's National team went undefeated against Brazil, England and Russia, to earn a place in the final against host France. The team won that game 3-2 to win the 44th annual Mondial de Montaigu Tournament.
