Norwalk Public School Fifth-Graders Graduate From D.A.R.E. NORWALK, Conn. -- Nearly 1,000 Norwalk Public School fifth grade students graduated Wednesday from the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program at Norwalk City Hall. D.A.R.E. essay winner Lindsay Caruso read her essay to the large audience and was presented with a medal and D.A.R.E. Lion.  D.A.R.E. is an international substance abuse prevention education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior.
