Hit The Trail At Chalk Hill In Monroe For Trails Day MONROE, Conn. — The Chalk Hill Nature Trail has been selected as Monroe’s venue for a family-style hike on National Trails Day Saturday.The trail is open to the public at no charge.  The hike starts at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to assemble at the entrance to the trail behind Chalk Hill School off Fan Hill Road. Ample parking is available.  The route covers one-third of a mile over terrain suitable for all ages.
