Stratford Man Nabbed For Enticing Westport Minors For Sex, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with enticing a minor with computer service for sex after meeting with three people, including a 14-year-old online at a parking lot. The incident took place in Westport in Feb. 2022 in the parking lot at 397 Post Road East. CT Man, Age 33, Killed After SUV Hits Concrete Barrier A 33-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a single-car crash after his SUV hit a concrete barrier and rolled. The crash took place in Middlesex County around 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3 on Route 9 in Middletown. Man Steals Range Rover With Dog Inside As Woman Pumps Gas On Long Island Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a 2020 white Range Rover as the owner stood on the passenger side pumping gas on Long Island. The incident took place in Mineola around 2:45 p.m., Monday, Jan. 2, at the BP gas station located at 91 West Jericho Turnpike. IDs Released For Mother, Daughter Killed In New Year's Day Hudson Valley Crash Police have released the identities of a mother and daughter killed in a New Year's Day crash in the Hudson Valley. Hudson Valley Resident Accused Of Beating Another Man In Head With Hammer A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly beating another man in the head with a hammer. The incident took place in Ulster County around 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30 in the town of Rochester. Body Discovered Near Trail In Hudson Valley State Police are not commenting after a man's body was discovered on a Hudson Valley trail. The body was found in Ulster County in Plattekill early Monday, Jan. 2, on the Campbell Lane extension near Saul Trail. State police declined to comment on the incident. Stamford Man Buried Son's Body In Park, Held Mom Hostage, Police Say A Fairfield County man who was a person of interest in the death of a 2-year-old boy whose body was found buried in a city park has been captured. CT State Police Squad Recovers $20K In Cryptocurrency Scam Last year, the Connecticut State Police Organized Crime Task Force was able to retrieve $20,000 from a $41,150 cryptocurrency or Bitcoin scam. The task force learned of a complaint from a New Haven County resident in Milford in September 2022 regarding larceny by false pretenses, the state police said. The larceny resulted in the loss of $41,150 when the victim was scammed into depositing the money into a series of Bitcoin ATM machines, state police added. Hudson Valley Woman Attacks, Spits At Troopers During Arrest, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman has been charged with assault after allegedly attacking and spitting on troopers attempting to make an arrest. The incident took place in Orange County in the city of Midddletown when state police responded to a report of someone being runover by a car. Know Him? Stamford Man Wanted In Death Investigation Of 2-Year-Old Police are asking the public for help locating a Fairfield County who is a person of interest in the untimely death of a 2-year-old. Edgar Ismalej-Gomez, age 26, of Stamford, is wanted in connection with the death, said Stamford Police Capt. Tom Scanlon, of the Stamford Police.
